Kindle 3 Review

Click the link above if you want to find out the current Kindle 3 price. At present there are three options when it comes to choosing a Kindle. The cheapest model is the 6" electronic reader that comes with Wi-Fi access. The next level up is virtually the same but this time it has all the features of the previous model but this time also includes 3G access. This allows you to connect to the Whispernet network from which you can gain internet access as well as download books directly from Amazon to your Kindle where ever you are. The third, and most expensive, device in the Kindle 3 range is the DX unit. This has a 9.7 inch screen which is bigger than the two previous models. There is not too much of a difference in the price of the first two models although, as you would expect, the one without 3G access is a bit cheaper. But the price of the Kindle 3 DX is about double that of the 6" model with 3G access.

My Kindle 3 Experience

I have been using the latest generation Amazon Kindle for about four months. In this time I have gotten used to its features and how carry it with me on almost everywhere I go. Unlike many people who own one of these handheld reading gadgets, I do not use a Kindle cover. If I am being honest, I think that it looks good on its own and it is certainly less bulky. When I am eating, it has had bits of food fall onto it but just giving the screen a quick wipe is sufficient. I also like the fact that it does not get dirty like a computer screen if you touch it with your fingers.

The best thing about the Kindle reading system and the reason why I think that the current price is such good value for money is that all users are able to get almost any out of copyright book that they want...for free! This is not something that I full appreciated before my Kindle arrived. I had read about it but had not really taken the time to browse through the titles that are available. I did not realize that I would be able to download as many classic titles as I have. At the moment I am just scratching the surface. But it is truly possible for a Kindle owner to just read free books for the rest of their life.

Which Kindle Is Best?

I would suggest that you consider your potential Kindle purchase based on the type of device that best suits your reading requirements rather than the price. The DX is the most expensive unit but does that mean it is the best? The answer is that it depends on how you want to use your Kindle. For me personally, even though I would rather have bought one of the two smaller models because they are cheaper, I actually chose the 6" version with 3G access because I wanted a portable electronic reader that would be convenient to carry around with me. On top of this, even though the larger model is not exactly heavy, the fact that the smaller ones are lighter is also an advantage for me. When I read a book, or use a Kindle, I want to be able to relax as opposed to give my arms a workout. If of course I wanted to read a textbook on my Kindle and actually use it as a study aid then the story would be completely different. The Kindle DX would definitely be the model to choose.

Best Price Kindle 3

If you want to confirm the latest Kindle 3 price you can go directly to the Amazon website or just look in the box above. There are plenty of other informative websites that offer reviews and comparisons of the available electronic readers. What I love about the Kindle is that it does not pretend to be anything other than a reading device. It is not a PDA, a computer or a flashy gadget with a color screen. It does not need any of this. The Kindle 3 is Amazon's latest and greatest electronic book reader. It was released at the end of summer in 2010. Of course there will be newer models of this device coming out in the future. But now is a good time to enter the world of ebook readers because of the low prices and the fact that a newer version will not be coming out for at least another year.
